I don’t know about you but one of the hardest things for me about family pictures is finding an outfit to start with. I’ve put together 6 outfit ideas for you ladies to build off of. If you have a family member with a clothing piece you have to have in your photos build off of that piece.
If you have a piece that has really vibrant colors or one with a very distinctive print this will be your building piece. Pull colors from that piece with the distinctive print for everyone else’s outfit. For the vibrant color use complementing neutral tones.
Now to get into the outfit ideas for you. I tried to stick with pretty affordable options from Target, Old Navy and Amazon but there are a couple that are pricier.
Overall this is a pretty neutral outfit to build off of. You can add in some black buffalo check for other outfits, oranges, yellows and any neutrals.
It wouldn’t be fall pictures without some orange. This would be another really easy one to build off of. I would add some complementing fall colors such as olive greens and navy blues.
Plaid is another item I feel like fall family pictures just needs. There is more going on with this outfit but the colors I’d use for others’ outfits are burgundy, navy or that cognac brown.
This is a great neutral look to add into a look if you don’t know what to wear yourself. The black pattern on this top is velvet so it could even be used for winter pictures. Literally just about anything will go with this outfit.
A chambray dress is one of the easiest things to add to a colorful outfit ensemble. You can style them any way you want by adding a cardigan, moto jacket or like I did here with a plaid vest.
Hats are another fun fall accessory and are perfect to pair with dresses or embroidered tops if you’re looking for more of a boho touch. Neutral plaids, oranges, blacks and chambray/denim would be great compliments to this top.
